Common topics

Quick help for the usual questions

Editing your profile

Open your private edit link and change anything — allergies, medications, contacts. Save, and your public page reflects it right away.

Create or update a profile

Lost your edit link

The private link is the only way to change a profile, so keep it in a password manager. If it's gone, check your history and messages — or create a fresh profile and share the new public link.

Recover a link

Sharing it safely

Share the short public link freely — print it, save it to a lock screen, put it on a wallet card. Never share the long private edit link with anyone.

Questions

The things people ask first

Do I need an account or an app?

No. You fill in a form, and you get two links back. Reading a profile is just opening a web page — there's nothing to download and nothing to sign into.

Who can see my medical information?

Anyone with your public link can read the profile — that's the point, so a responder can. We keep those pages out of search engines and browser caches, so they aren't discoverable; they're only reachable by someone you've shared the link with.

What if I lose my private edit link?

The edit link is the only way to change a profile, so save it somewhere safe — a password manager is ideal. If it's gone, you can always create a fresh profile and share the new public link.

Can someone change my profile?

Only with the private edit link. The public link is strictly read-only, so sharing it can never let anyone alter what it says.

Is it really free?

Creating a profile is free, and reading one always will be. Emergency information shouldn't depend on a subscription being paid up.

How do responders know to look for it?

Most people keep the public link on a phone lock screen, a printed wallet card, or a medical bracelet. It's the same habit as an ICE contact — somewhere a responder already knows to check.
